Nasir Bicknell has been named the Western New York Boys & Girls Clubs Youth of the Year, an honor recognizing his outstanding leadership, character, and commitment to serving his community and Club.

Community leaders and partners joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester to celebrate the opening of a newly renovated Teen Center, marking a major investment in the future of Rochester’s youth.

In the Teen Art Project “A Million Club Stories,” Club teens are using photos they’ve taken and artwork they’ve created to design coloring books inspired by real moments at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester. A new book will be created each week and printed for members to enjoy.

Club members brought energy and excitement to Ross Dress for Less locations in Victor and on Chili Avenue as they helped kick off the annual Help Local Kids Succeed in School fundraiser — celebrating community partnership and supporting programs that help Rochester youth thrive.

Through the generosity of Owner and Chef Kristin Klock-Wattle and the Root Catering team, 150 freshly prepared meals were delivered to Club families at the Club’s Genesee Street location.
