The Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester celebrated another incredible milestone on Monday, July 27, as supporters from across the Greater Rochester community gathered at Irondequoit Country Club for the 15th Annual Par-Tee Fore the Kids Golf Tournament. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, golfers, donors, volunteers, and community partners, this year’s event raised more than $100,000 to support programs that empower young people to reach their full potential.
From the first tee shot to the final putt, the day was filled with friendly competition, meaningful conversations, and a shared commitment to investing in the next generation. Beautiful summer weather and the outstanding hospitality of Irondequoit Country Club created the perfect setting for a day dedicated to changing lives.
One of the day’s most memorable moments came when Club alumnus Kris Gibbs-Smith shared his personal story with attendees. Reflecting on his time at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester, Kris spoke about the mentors, opportunities, and encouragement he received as a young person—experiences that helped shape the successful path he has followed today.
His remarks served as a powerful reminder that every investment in the Club is an investment in a child’s future. Behind every scholarship, career, leadership opportunity, and success story is a community that believed in a young person when it mattered most.
