This week, members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester Keystone Club joined young leaders from around the world to participate in the 2026 JCI Global Youth Summit, a three-day international leadership experience focused on diplomacy, collaboration, and sustainable development.
Held July 29–31, the summit brings together youth from diverse backgrounds to strengthen their leadership skills while exploring global issues through a modified Model United Nations format. Participants engage in interactive workshops, diplomatic simulations, collaborative discussions, and hands-on learning experiences designed to build confidence, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Throughout the summit, our Keystone members worked alongside fellow youth leaders to develop solutions to real-world challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The experience culminated in the creation of a Youth Resolution for 2030, a collaborative document outlining participants’ shared recommendations and commitments for a more sustainable and cooperative future.
For Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester, opportunities like the JCI Global Youth Summit reflect our commitment to preparing young people for success far beyond the walls of the Club. By exposing teens to global perspectives and leadership experiences, we help them develop the skills needed to become confident advocates, engaged citizens, and future leaders in their schools, careers, and communities.
Our Keystone Club provides teens with opportunities to serve their community, develop leadership skills, and discover the impact they can have both locally and globally. Participating in the JCI Global Youth Summit is another example of how Club members continue to challenge themselves, embrace new experiences, and represent Rochester with pride.
