Camp DayDreams develops, challenges, and empowers Rochester’s urban youth to serve themselves, their families, and their communities as vibrant individuals and dynamic citizens through a week-long summer camp experience.
The Camp DayDreams summer camp program is designed to develop healthy, empowered, vibrant youth. Campers and staff spend the week in camp cabins located in the woods of a 1,200 acre campus in the Finger Lakes Region.
During the day, we offer a variety of activities including: swimming, boating, fishing, archery, team sports, games, arts & crafts, adventure hikes, drumming and performing arts.
The evenings are devoted to all-camp activities that focus on community building and character development. Traditional programs include the scavenger hunt, the water park and the “Book of Records.”
While Camp DayDreams emphasizes safety and learning, it is a fun-filled traditional summer camp experience for children. Staff and campers learn, laugh, play and create lasting friendships.
The Camp DayDreams program also offers monthly family-focused enrichment events throughout the year that build life-long skills. Throughout our ongoing contact with camper families, relationships formed at camp are strengthened and the life lessons learned are reinforced. We have also hosted special events including ice skating parties, Red Wings baseball games, and service opportunities for the campers and their families.
