Mentor the Next Great Success Story

Our volunteers are invaluable to the success of our organization. Volunteers are not only here to lend their services, but their presence in our children’s lives is profound. You can come in for as little as one hour per year, or as often as once a day. All it takes is one positive interaction with a child or teen to make a lasting connection.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester is extremely careful in selecting the volunteers to work inside our walls. We take our responsibility to serve our children very seriously and, consequently, we can only accept volunteers who meet our high standards and qualifications. All volunteers must undergo a thorough screening process.

Volunteer Opportunity List

• ​Program Volunteer
  Program volunteers work directly with kids in a variety of program areas – from sharing billiard techniques in the game room, to teaching guitar, to tutoring a student
• Literacy Volunteer
  Literacy volunteers work in our Accelerated Reader program, reading with kids one-on-one and helping them with comprehension testing
• Special Events
  Special event volunteers provide the people-power needed to organize, set up, and staff various fundraisers and celebrations throughout the year
• ​Music Recording Experts
  Experts in music recording can work in our recording studio, laying down Club members’ vocals, tracks, beats, ads, music and more
• Career Exploration Expert
  Career exploration volunteers bring employees to the Club or have us come visit their business to learn more
• Coach
  Coaches can help out with our many annual sports programs
• Tech Support
  Technical support assists with our computer lab and website
