At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester, every day is filled with moments of creativity, learning, and friendship. Our Teen Art Project, “A Million Club Stories,” brings those moments to life through coloring books created by Club teens.

As part of the project, teens are using photos they have taken at the Club and artwork they have drawn themselves to design coloring pages inspired by real experiences. From playing in the gym to participating in programs and spending time with friends, each page captures a small piece of what makes the Club special.

Over the course of eight weeks, teens will work together to create a full coloring book each week, filled with scenes inspired by everyday life at the Club. Once completed, the books will be printed and shared with members so they can color and enjoy stories that reflect their own experiences.

Throughout the project, teens are brainstorming ideas, collaborating with peers, and learning how to turn photos and artwork into creative storytelling.

“A Million Club Stories shows how many great moments happen at the Club every day,” said Heather Floyd, STEM Instructor at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester. “Our teens are excited to turn those moments into something other members can enjoy.”

Through their creativity, teens are helping capture the everyday stories that make the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester such a special place for young people to learn, grow, and connect.
