Character and Leadership Development Programs empower young people to support and influence their Club and community, sustain meaningful relationships with others, develop a positive self-image, participate in the democratic process and respect their own and others’ cultural identities.

Keystone Club (Ages 14 - 18)
The Keystone Club is a small group that meets weekly and conducts at least one activity per year in each of six core areas: service to Club and community, leadership development, education and career exploration, unity, free enterprise and social recreation. Members receive training and opportunities for helping others with decision-making, schoolwork and personal issues. Members also participate in quarterly community beautification projects such as neighborhood and park clean-ups and landscaping.

Torch Club (Ages 11-13)
This chartered small-group leadership development program for youngsters focuses on Club and community service, education, athletics and fun.

Youth of the Year
Service to Club and community, academic performance and contributions to family and spiritual life are promoted and recognized in this year-round program. Participation culminates in the Youth of the Year local competition. Local winners compete at the state level and may advance to the national finals.

*SMART Girls (Girls ages 8 to 17)

Young women are provided with information about health, fitness and self-esteem issues in order to encourage the attitudes and lifestyles that will enable them to develop their full potential.

Passport to Manhood (Boys ages 11 to 14)
This program teaches responsibility and reinforces positive behavior for young men. Each participant is issued his own "passport" to underscore the notion that he is on a personal journey of maturation and growth.

*Street SMART (Ages 11 to 13)

Street SMART is designed to counteract the negative lures of gangs, violence and "street" influences. It covers youth gang awareness and prevention, conflict resolution and positive peer helpers, as well as planning and implementing community events.
